Hey there; I’m Jack!  I have the distinction of being the senior member of the Nines Team.  I am a living testament to the “lifetime of learning” theory.  Being with the team is a mixed blessing; it gives me the opportunity to both learn and teach, but it also means there are times when the team is talking about “history” and I’m thinking …. “Hey, that’s my life!)

For almost 30 years I owned and ran my own business.  Starting in California and moving to North Carolina in the depressing 90’s, we wrote business, financing and operational plans for start-up, expanding and merging businesses.  Over the years I can remember only a few plans that a major component was not real estate based.  So starting a new millennium gave me the motivation to switch sides of the table and look at real estate with a whole new perspective.

Life experiences seem to have a habit of helping (or forcing) you to hone your vision.  Many questions surrounding my parents and their real estate seemed to abound, but there was no easy way of finding answers.  Searching for those answers gave the guidelines to my area of specialization: the special needs of seniors.  Questions, answers and a little planning could have helped many forestall or avoid altogether unpleasant issues in later life.

Safely cloistered with a focus-group with whom I have much in common and with whom I enjoy looking toward a prosperous future, I rarely have to call needle scratches on a 33 LP album “music,” nor do I have to try and keep clear when “bad” is actually good; when “cool” is an old fashioned term for bad, when bad is actually good; when “rad” is not a unit of measure about which you should be concerned; and when “neat” is not about how you feel about something, but rather they way you look or how you drink your whisky!

There is an expression “knowledge is power.”  That may be true for the youthful, when everything is about having an edge.  For the more mature, thanks to the years, we have learned that knowledge is empty when it isn’t shared and that power comes from sharing which brings understanding.  I pleased to report that the members of the Nines Team share the latter vision of knowledge (yes, even the “kids”) and are dedicated to sharing knowledge of their skills and the wealth that it brings.

As individuals the Nines Team is imperfect and flawed; working together for our clients and customers we bring forth an art of perfection rarely seen in today’s world.  I’m so glad I found the team!  However you found us, you’ll be glad that you found us too!
